This week’s question:

Would you rather your home have a pool, a tennis court, or a rose garden and why?

My answer:

Definitely a pool. I don’t like tennis, and although a rose garden would be pretty, I would get more use out of a pool. I’d much rather be relaxing in the pool on a hot day than pruning my roses.

This week’s question:

Tell us one “I wish I had known then what I know now” experience with your business.

My answer:

If I had known that you could’ve signed up under someone, I would’ve. Unfortunately, the District Manager was the one to sign me up and I was left pretty much on my own. I had so many unanswered questions and concerns but the DM was just too busy to handle everything. Us “strays” got the “short end of the stick” because we didn’t get the training that we needed. I was also an hour and a half away from the office so it wasn’t like I could drop in and get the help that I needed. My only saving grace was that one of the older reps took me under her wing and has been helping me ever since.

This week’s question:

Do you watch sports?  And if so what are your favorite teams and why?

My answer:

I don’t really watch sports like I used to. I tune in occasionally though.

Here’s a rundown of my favorites:

NASCAR

I was an Earnhardt fan ever since I was little. It broke my heart when he passed away. I carried on with Dale Jr. but there never be another Intimidator.

Wrestling

Some of them are no longer wrestling but I liked them when they were. I started watching WCW back in the day and the Four Horseman were always my faves along with the Stinger. Then I got into watching WWE when it was still WWF. I automatically took to DX and the Hardy Boyz.

NFL

  • Cowboys
  • Patriots

I became a fan of the Cowboys because it was a family tradition, that’s who my mom likes. As I got older, I also started liking the Patriots. I don’t really have a particular reason for it.

MLB

  • Yankees

I don’t really watch baseball that much because I don’t really care for it but my grandmother did and she liked the Yankees so if I’m rooting for somebody, it’s going to be them.

NCAAF & NCAAB

My grandmother was originally from North Carolina so I carry on her Tarheel tradition. I’m from Virginia so if I’m repping my home state, it’s going to be VT.

That’s pretty much it. I will occasionally tune into a hockey game or a pro basketball game or something else once in a while but I don’t really have a favorite.

This week’s question:

If they were going to make a movie of your life, who would you want to play the main character and what would you want the theme or focus of the movie to be?

My answer:

If my life was made into a movie, I would want Lindsay Lohanto play me. She may have had her fair share of trouble but I think she would fit the part.

My files (found the original; it's not much be...

I would want the theme of the movie to focus on my high school years. Those were my best years and I would love to be able to go back in time and relive them.

Best & Worst Subjects

 This week’s question:

What were your best and worst subjects in school?  Do you see either of those in your day-to-day business?

My answer:

My best subject was history. I loved it! It also helped that I had a really good teacher. She made you work but it was well worth it.

My worst subject was science. It was awful! I wasn’t good at any of it. I had great teachers too.

With Avon, there is some history to it. It’s good to know the history of your company and your products. It lets your customers know you’re serious about what you do. As for  science, it’s good to know the general ingredients in your products as well as the scientific innovations. It’s useful when your customer is allergic to something or to help them choose the right product for a certain problem.

This week’s question:

One of the most common things I hear is “But what do you DO all day!?”  Tell us about your typical day – walk us through from the time you wake up until your head hits the pillow at night.

My answer:

What time I get up depends on what I have to do that day. If I’m not going out gardening (Party Plan Divas term for marketing), I usually try to sleep in a little. I check my email and respond to those that are time sensitive. Then I file the others for later in the day.

Next, I check my to-do list for the day. I try to make my to-do list at the beginning of the week and write down the usual routine. Of course we all know this can change at any moment. I always go over it daily and add, subtract and move where I see fit.

The first part of the morning usually involves paperwork and computer time. If I’m going out gardening or have errands, I get ready and try to leave around lunchtime. The week and day determines what errands I have. This involves gardening, banking, delivering and collecting order, delivering new brochures, putting in orders, etc. If it’s order week, my order goes in at noon every other Friday. If it’s delivery week, I deliver Thursday-Saturday on the opposite weeks.

In the evenings, I check my email again and work on the emails from the morning. I also do any paperwork or computer work that needs to be done. This is the time when I usually make any phone calls that needs to be made. The evenings are also when I listen to any webinars, teleseminars, etc. that I have signed up for. Thank God for replays! :)

I update my Facebook page and Twitter page throughout the day. My blog gets neglected sometime but I try to post at least once a week.

I’m a night owl so this is usually when I do any research that I want or need to do. I can stay up for hours reading business ideas, networking, etc.

There you have it! As I said before, it really depends on the week and the day as to what I do but this gives you a general guideline.

Hope it wasn’t too boring for you.

Until next time…
